The Annual Avocado Festival includes local artisans on the Artisan Walk on Alvarado, Cazadores Margaritas at the Main Stage area, featuring local talent, food, wine garden, local beer, community stage, kid's zone and Avocado Central (located in the center of the event) where avocados and trees can be purchased.
Since the 1960s, tens of thousands of avocado lovers converge in Fallbrook, located in San Diego's North County Inland to sample avocados, check out the crazy cooking contest entries, buy funky avocado-themed gifts and enjoy bands, live entertainment and friendly beer gardens.
Come prepared to visit the many craft and food booths – you can never go hungry at the Avocado Festival. Colorful booths line Main and Alvarado Street featuring unique clothing, hats, arts, crafts, jewelry, and farm-fresh produce for purchase. A variety of bands and other live entertainment are offered for the pleasure of festival-goers. Beer gardens and numerous food vendors cater to every whim.
Many have discovered the joys of guacamole – as well as the delightful new flavor of avocado chips – during their first visit to the festival.
Activities abound with cooking competitions (come prepared with your best guacamole recipe), as well exhibitions showcasing local talent. There will even be a race where the cars are made from avocados!
If you have never seen a giant, inflatable avocado, come to the Fallbrook Avocado Festival in California and see it in living color – green, that is!
