San Diego is Currently Unaffected by Fire

Our hearts go out to the first responders and communities in Los Angeles County affected by the devastating wildfires. We are grateful that San Diego and our tourism community are able to offer a safe place to stay for those affected by the wildfires, with special accommodation rates and offers listed below.

San Diego, located 120 miles south, remains unaffected by the ongoing wildfires. The San Diego Tourism Authority works closely with local authorities to stay updated on local fire conditions and shares any potential impacts to travelers via social media and on this website. For the latest updates on San Diego's weather conditions, please use the links in the resource section at the bottom of this page.

 

L.A. Fire Relief Offers

In response to the devastation and displacement caused by the wildfires in Los Angeles, numerous San Diego-area hotels are contributing to fire relief by offering special accommodation rates and offers.

Downtown

  • The Alma San Diego Downtown, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is welcoming those affected by the wildfires to stay in San Diego with 20% off and waived resort fees by booking online.
  • The AC Hotel San Diego Downtown Gaslamp Quarter has an L.A. Wildfire Evacuee Package of 20% off retail rates and a 20% parking discount. (ID with address is required upon check-in to qualify.) Click here to book.
  • The Guild Hotel and the new Granger Hotel Gaslamp Quarter, both in Downtown San Diego, are offering a $189 rate now through Jan. 20. Destination fee is waived, and all guests of the Granger receive complimentary full hot breakfast buffet daily. Email info@grangerhotel.com. No credit card will be required to hold the rooms.
  • In support of those affected by the Los Angeles fires, Omni San Diego in Downtown's Gaslamp Quarter is offering its Corporate Code, 45271246919, for a $199 rate now until January 24.

  • AC by Marriott San Diego Downtown Gaslamp is offering 20% discount on room rates and parking for for families displaced by L.A. wildfires by clicking here. Drivers License required, rate available to those with a valid drivers license from an affected zip code in Los Angeles county.
  • Courtyard San Diego Downtown is offering 20% off by booking online.
  • The Carte Hotel - Curio Collection by Hilton San Diego Downtown is offering 20% off for LA Fire Relief. Book online or call hotel at (619) 546-9600 for availability.
  • Holiday Inn Express San Diego Downtown is offering a 15% discount with hot buffet breakfast using the corporate code 100216752 corporate id embedded and select the Good Neighbor rate after you click on your desired dates by clicking here. Please call (619) 819-1448 is you have any questions.
  • The Westgate Hotel is offering 20% off rooms and a $50 daily spending credit for all California residents through February. Book online and present your ID or proof of residency upon check-in.
  • Call the Hard Rock Hotel directly for $199 room rates for evacuees.
  • Now through Friday, Jan. 31, Los Angeles County residents may book rooms at Hotel Indigo San Diego with a 25% discount on the Best Flexible Rate and 50% off parking fees. Additionally, amenity and pet fees will be waived to ensure that families and animal companions remain together. Guests must provide a valid Los Angeles address when booking and at check-in. Individuals impacted by the wildfires or those needing more information about the special rate can contact Hotel Indigo San Diego - Gaslamp Quarter directly by calling (619) 727-4000 or by visiting the website here.

Mission Valley & Old Town

  • Town and Country Resort in Mission Valley is offering a rate of $129 per night with waived resort fee and free parking for those affected by the fires. Call (800) 772-8527 and ask for the evacuee rate.
  • The Best Western San Diego Zoo/SeaWorld Inn & Suites is offering a $99 (exclusive of tax) rate for wildfire evacuees. The rate includes a complimentary hot buffet breakfast and complimentary self-parking. The offer is valid for room types King Bed Guest Room (max occupancy 2), Two Queen Beds Guest Room (max occupancy 4), and Two Queen Bedrooms and Sofa Bed (max occupancy 6).   • The San Diego Mission Bay Resort is providing 15% off the Best Flexible rate as well as waived daily self-parking and a waived daily resort fee.   • The Ocean Beach Hotel is offering a 40% discount through the entire month of January for those affected by the fires, with no extra fees for pets or parking. Go to the hotel's website and use promo code 20250001. The offer ends Jan. 31.
  • Stay by the beach at the Pacific Terrace Hotel which is extending a 25% discount for the Fire Evacuees. Guests can book online or call the hotel directly at (800) 344-3370 and ask for the RELIEF Rate.
  • GreenTree Inn San Diego is offering $99 rate plus tax that includes American breakfast buffet and overnight parking. Call hotel direct at 858-274-7888 as ask for LA Fire Evacuation Rate.

La Jolla

  • The Lodge at Torrey Pines is providing the following offers to evacuees and others affected by the L.A. fires, through use of the promo code LASTRONG by clicking here: Waived resort fee, parking and pet fees. Booking and stay dates: Now through Jan. 31. (Blackout dates are Jan. 21-22 and Jan. 29, as The Lodge is sold out.)
  • The La Jolla Shores Hotel and the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club are each offering a discount of 50 percent to wildfire evacuees.
  • To provide support during this challenging time, La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla is offering special rates for those displaced by the wildfires. Please contact the hotel's reservations team directly at (855) 476-6870.
  • The Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa is offering 10% off the best available room rates and waived pet fees with the promo code "wildfirerelief".
  • The Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla is offering a $199 rate for fire evacuees, and is waiving pet fees. Click on this link to book, or go to the hotel's site and use the code LA Assistance.
  • La Valencia will be offering a special discount for those displaced by the fire. These reservations can be made by phone only, by calling (855) 476-6870.
  • The La Jolla Cove Hotel is offering those affected by the fires a discount of 30% for weekdays and 25% for weekends (Friday & Saturday), available from now until Jan. 31. The stay dates will range from today until Feb. 13.   • The Inn by the Sea La Jolla is offering 25% off their published rate. Please contact the hotel directly and ask for the LA Fire Relief rate. Code FRR1.

Point Loma Peninsula

  • Bay Club Hotel & Marina is offering those affected by the fires in LA a rate of $109 for single or double occupancy. Simply call the hotel at (800) 672-0800 and mention the LA Fire rate or click here. If a rate code is requested, please use LAFIRE.
  • The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina is offering a disaster relief rate of $129 plus taxes and fees. Blackout dates may apply. Reservations may be made by clicking here or calling the toll-free reservations number, (888) 544-2523.
  • Humphreys Half Moon Inn on Shelter Island is offering rates from $99 through Jan. 31 for fire evacuees and others affected, as well as a complimentary resort fee and overnight parking. Click here to book.
  • Beginning this Sunday, January 12th, Kona Kai San Diego will be offering overnight parking and waived resort and pet fees for residents affected by the unfolding tragedy in Los Angeles. A special welcome gift and essential toiletries will also be provided at check-in along with a surprise, complimentary Kona Kai Children’s Tent that can be arranged for children + families in need of a smile. Coronado

North Coastal

  • The San Diego Marriott Del Mar is offering a rate of $99 per night with no pet fees for guests with addresses in the fire-impacted areas through January (for the time being), based upon availability. Reservations may be made going to the hotel’s site and using the special rate code T4495, which shows up as "Los Angeles Fire Dept Rate.”
  • L'Auberge Del Mar is offering 20% off best available rate along with waived resort fees and reduced valet for $20 using the code "Wildfire" or by clicking here.
  • The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad has implemented a special rate for fire evacuees and those displaced by the fires. The hotel is offering up to 50% off, depending on occupancy; the offer runs through February for those who might be displaced longer. Call (844) 478-6557 and ask for the Aviara Good Neighbor rate.
  • The Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach and the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach hotels are offering neighborhood rates of 15% off the best available rate for those with a valid ID showing a ZIP code in Los Angeles, Ventura or Orange counties.
    - At the Cape Rey, a Hilton Resort and Spa, the discounted nightly resort fee is $10 per night plus taxes, and the discounted overnight self-parking fee is $10 per night. The booking deadline and last stay date is Jan. 30. Click here to reserve.

  • The six hotels that comprise Grand Pacific Resorts in Carlsbad have varying offers for those affected by the fires, ranging from 25% off room rates to waived fees. Its sister property Homewood Suites San Diego Del Mar, (858) 523-0500, has a $119 nightly rate for those affected.   • The Holiday Inn Express San Diego Sorrento Valley is offering discounted rates by calling at (858) 731-0100 and mention LA Fire Evacuation Rate.
  • Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara in North Carlsbad is offering an evacuation rate of $250 for our studio room, $500 for our 1bd suites. Evacuees can call 760-603-3700 to book.

  • Carlsbad’s Beach View Lodge is extending 25% off rates to those displaced by the wildfires through their extended Resident Rate. Please call (760) 729-1151 to book.

North Inland

  • The Rancho Bernardo Inn is offering a special rate of $199 plus $40 resort fee to those affected by the fires. Book online or call (855) 574-5356.
  • The Lakehouse Resort in San Marcos is offering a fire evacuation rate to support the Los Angeles community. The offer includes discounted room rates to ease the financial burden, waived resort fees and waived pet fees to ensure families can stay together with their pets. Anyone affected can use this link to apply the evacuation rate to a booking.
  • TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Vista is offering a 15% discount for those affected by the fires, through Jan. 15. The hotel is pet-friendly and has discounted its pet fee by 50% to $50 per stay. Call the hotel directly at (760) 216-6010 and mention "L.A. Wildfires."

East County

  • La Casa Del Zorro Desert Resort & Spa is offering a discount of 35% off best available rate with waived resort fee and complimentary self-parking. Guest must call property directly to book, (760) 767-0100, referring to fire displacement.

South Bay

  • Springhill Suites Chula Vista/Eastlake is offering "25% off Best Available Rate; complimentary parking and breakfast each morning; no pet fees required. Guests can call into front desk at (619) 832-0902 and ask for "EVACUEE RATE".
