San Diego International Auto Show
Where the cars are the stars! The San Diego International Auto Show features the widest variety of new vehicles under one roof.
With tons of action, activities and restaurants to enjoy, this iconic San Diego neighborhood is the epitome of Southern California Cool.
A fun-loving beach town, PB (as San Diegans call it) has a bit of everything: miles of attractive beaches, a wooden pier, a paved boardwalk, and more than its share of San Diego’s liveliest bars and restaurants. To top it all off, it’s right next to Mission Bay, granting instant access to watersports and bayfront parks. Come for the sun, surf and SeaWorld, stay for a sunset, and the pursuit of a great meal with an amazing view.
There aren't many places in the world where you have the chance to witness the majesty of sea life up-close and personal, but SeaWorld San Diego makes that dream a reality! Learn about these unique and brilliant creatures at Dolphin Point, where attendees have the opportunity to hear from trainers and even feed the dolphins their favorite snacks.
Lift off with a flight of three mimosas at Crushed. With the different varieties incorporating flavors like lavender, elderflower, passion fruit, and ginger, you may be very glad you didn’t need to commit to just one kind. Go ahead and…crush a flight or two.
For how much San Diegans love water, you’d think they have gills. Joining them on the ocean and bays year-round is always a snap. Want to try yoga on a stand-up paddleboard? Dying to learn to shred on a wakeboard, or try your hand at water skiing or sailing? Mission Bay Aquatic Center, with its rentals, classes, lessons and reputation for safety, is a one-stop shop for a memorable day on the bay.
This bar is named for Abraham Lincoln, who was an outspoken opponent of the Mexican-American War. If Honest Abe were still around, he might appreciate the peaceful harmony of Mexican eats and San Diego vibes at El Prez Beach Bar and Cocina. At this rooftop spot, choose from tacos stuffed with lobster, filet mignon, or seared ahi, then take a picture with a fake donkey and sip a margarita accompanied by an unobstructed ocean view.
The three-mile boardwalk stretching along Mission Beach and Pacific Beach packs in a lot of scenery: golden beaches, the quaint Crystal Pier, and plenty of people-watching. Among the shops and eateries lining the boardwalk are bike and skate rental outfits. Get yourself in the seat of a beach cruiser or put your feet in a pair of roller skates to take it all in.
The folks at The Fishery are a go-to seafood supplier for restaurants around San Diego County. Under the same roof in a midcentury warehouse a few blocks from the beach, their restaurant and market make use of the seasonal haul of fish like local white seabass, Pacific swordfish, Baja yellowtail, and pink baqueta. Lunch and dinner menus transform into all incomparably fresh poke, ceviche, chowder, salads, entrees, and more.
A San Diego sunset? It’s an indescribable thing to watch the sun dip into the Pacific Ocean. There’s no telling whether the hues will veer more toward tangerine or amethyst, crimson or chardonnay. But find yourself parked on the beach, sand between your toes, blanket over your shoulders, and you may well find it’s the perfect way to end a day.
