San Diego Beer Chase
The perfect wintertime run-cation with your friends!
We’re bringing the Beer Chase Series—a one-day six-person running relay of approximately 50 miles, consisting of 12 legs of varying distance—to sunny SoCal to celebrate the amazing craft beers of San Diego County!
Known as the ‘Capital of Craft,’ San Diego is home to over 130 craft breweries and is the birth place of some of the craft beer industry’s most respected breweries. Teams will start in San Marcos and meet the Pacific Ocean in Carlsbad to enjoy beautiful oceanfront running through the coastal towns of Solana Beach, Del Mar, La Jolla, Pacific Beach, and Mission Bay to finish in San Diego. Run with your friends and enjoy some sun & sand, while sampling San Diego’s best breweries!
On a 6-person team, each person runs 2 legs; on a 3-person team, each person runs 4 legs…you get the idea.
Each time you exchange at a brewery, you will have the option to enjoy a 3-4oz sample of beer. This is not required, but we expect many people to enjoy this opportunity. Every team must have a designated driver that is not drinking until the van is parked for the last leg of the race.
