Meet the world’s smallest penguins in a brand new exhibit at Birch Aquarium. Beyster Family Little Blue Penguins follows these pint-sized penguins on their journey from hatchlings to adults, highlighting the challenges they face in a changing climate while celebrating the features that make them so unique (and adorable). As the public outreach center for Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego, Birch Aquarium features amazing creatures including a rescued Loggerhead Sea Turtle, a Giant Pacific Octopus, Leopard Sharks, Moon Jellies and Weedy Seadragons.
To take advantage of the Kids Free offer, tickets must be reserved online in advance. When reserving your tickets at aquarium.ucsd.edu, use code KIDSFREE22 at the Shopping Cart to receive up to two (2) free child tickets per each paid qualifying* adult admission.
Free child tickets are for children ages 3-17 (children 2 and under are always free). *Qualifying adult tickets include General Admission adult, senior, or college student tickets purchased directly from Birch Aquarium. Excludes third-party ticketing sales, group sales ticketing, school groups, complimentary admission options, and programs or events. Tickets must be reserved online in advance for a specific date and time and may not be used with other discounts, for Haunted Aquarium, or other special events or programs.
