Hillcrest Neighborhood:
Getting to The Studio Door is a breeze, with Hillcrest conveniently accessible from multiple directions. If you're coming from downtown, simply head up Fifth Avenue, passing along the western edge of Balboa Park and through Bankers Hill until you reach Robinson Avenue, where you'll find yourself in the heart of Hillcrest. Look out for the vibrant rainbow flags adorning many businesses – a welcoming symbol of the LGBTQ+ community and a sign that you've arrived at your destination. Metered street parking and nearby lots ensure convenient access for visitors. University Avenue is lines with restaurants with global cuisines and a mix of vibrant bars, cafes, brunch spots, second hand clothing shops and a large Sunday Farmer’s Market that make it a popular weekend destination.
