Welcome to Loews Coronado Bay, our beautiful bay front San Diego luxury hotel. The resort debuted all new guestrooms completing a multi-million dollar redesign that encompassed the lobby, restaurants, public spaces, meeting space, corridors and guestroom bathrooms. Taking full advantage of the resort's waterfront location, the new design artfully combines San Diego's sun and surf with the casual elegance of an oceanfront home.

The new rooms were inspired by traditional Spanish missions and contemporary yachts integrating an eclectic mix of traditional pieces combined with modern touches. Gensler interior design firm created a "home away from home" by combining a palette of cool blues reminiscent of the ocean, soft yellows inspired by the sunset and shimmering silvers to mimic the reflections of the beach.

In addition to the rooms renovation, recent investments to the property include a complete redesign of its lobby, Bay Terrace, Cays Lounge, Market Café and Market "To Go": in 2013. BAMO, a luxury design firm whose portfolio includes some of the world's finest hotels, describes the style of their design as "lively and fresh" and a place guests will "feel at ease." San Diego's sparkling bay is central to the theme and is one of the first things guests will see when entering the new lobby.

A two-story chandelier of suspended glass adds center-stage drama to the resort's grand staircase and a new signature clock on the lobby floor encourages guests to lose track of time while they savor the seaside resort. The new lobby also boasts floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the bay with cozy living-room style seating in Cays Lounge.  The recent renovation to the meeting space, corridors and guestroom bathrooms brings the total investment of the resort to more than $22 million over the last five years.
