Archaeology Day Camp

We are excited to announce our brand-new autumn day camp for elementary school students, grades K-5! This a la carte style day camp will take place the week of Thanksgiving. Choose individual days or choose them all!

Whether your child is a budding archaeologist or just eager to experience the past in a whole new way, our camp offers something for everyone. Get ready for a week filled with adventure, discovery, and endless fun! Space is limited to 30 campers per session. Sign up now and let the adventure begin!

Hours: 10 AM - 2:30 PM; Extended care hours: Early drop-off (starting at 8:30 AM) and late pickup (ending at 4 PM) are available for an additional fee of $20 per camper per day.

The Pizza, Pasta and Piazza tour is the perfect way to get to know the city’s best neighborhood for food and fun!  San Diego’s Italian quarter has grown in popularity for not just Italian fare, but also for the rich array of local restaurant hot-spots that have opened up in the last 10 years, or so.  In addition to the traditional pasta and pizza dishes, Little Italy offers up top chef cuisine, vegan breakfasts, juicy burgers, and lounges for dancing and fine cocktails.  Join our guides for tasty fun!

Blue Gold: The Art and Science of Indigo presents indigo through stunning objects of creative expression and the astonishing study of a chemical reaction.

Blue Gold is among more than 70 exhibitions and programs presented as part of Getty’s 2024 PST ART initiative, Art & Science Collide. Discover the roles of botany, chemistry, ecology, and economics in indigo cultivation and dive into a deeper appreciation for blue hues. Through workshops and talks led by local artists, including a Master Craftsman Lecture with Porfirio Gutiérrez and Dyeing Classes with Sarah Winston, be immersed in the world of indigo. There is magic in the transformation from plant to pigment.

Blue Gold is on view until March 2025.
