The complex opened in June of 1995 as the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center, the first of its kind to be master-planned from the ground up. On January 1, 2017, the United States Olympic Committee transferred the ownership of the facility to the City of Chula Vista, and the complex is now a designated Olympic and Paralympic Training Site. The 155-acre complex has sport venues and support facilities for more than a dozen summer Olympic and Paralympic sports, and cross-training abilities for various winter sports.

We are open to the public for guided tours, interactive experiences, private events and host functions throughout the year which are open to the public. The Elite Team Shop, located inside of the Visitor Center, has a wide selection of unique gear and souvenirs from Team USA and the various sports represented in Chula Vista.
